Rachan and Anushka met through Coffee Meets Bagel during the spring of 2021, just as things were opening up post COVID-19. As they bonded over their passion for healthcare, sipping on boba, they found out they both went to UCSD and graduated within 1 year of each other. By the end of their date, Anushka knew in her heart that he was going to be the one! Rachan did as well, as he deleted the dating app off his phone as soon as he got home.

Anushka and Rachan went on a fun trip to Taiwan with friends where they toured 5 different cities across the country. Rachan planned for the perfect proposal at Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan. They all drove on motorized bikes around the lake, stopping to take in the calm waters and beautiful greenery. While posing for photos in front of the picturesque lake, Rachan gave the signal, and suddenly his friends became the paparazzi as he bent the knee and popped the question to Anushka. She couldn't stop grinning throughout the rest of the trip!
